We are looking for consultants
As a growing firm, we are always looking for talented individuals. We aspire to do great work that makes a difference to our clients. If you believe you have the ability to meet our high standards and the desire to work with our small but growing team please send us (a) your cv or resume and (b) an example of your work. Our three basic criteria are:
1. Education
Our consultants normally have a bachelors or masters degree, typically in business or economics. However, we also have consultants with different educational backgrounds (PhD Cell Bio, MS Geography). Whatever your background, it is important that you have very strong analytical skills.
2. Work experience
In order to solve client problems, we need consultants with a mixture of both the theoretical tools and real world practical experience.
We are not really looking for graduates fresh from University. Our preferred candidate is an experienced management consultant with both specific industry job experience and time spent at one of the Top 50 global consulting firms.
3. Personal characteristics
Your personal skills are very important. A good consultant moves the bottom line figures by moving the mind-set of the company. It is not enough to understand our customers’ business; you also have to understand their culture. Therefore, empathy is an important quality for us.
Before you email us…
We regularly receive a reasonable number of applications. Too many of these applications make some very basic errors. Please demonstrate how you meet our requirements in your cover letter, enclose a sample of your work, and have someone proofread your documents.
Joel Spolsky writes a blog on computer programming and a few years ago wrote a good article about Getting Your Résumé Read. While Joel hires programmers, not researchers, we agree with many, if not all, of his points in that essay.
We can sponsor successful international applicants for a work-permit or residency.
Current open positions – Experienced Management Consultants
We are interested in experienced management consultants, hopefully with retail/FMCG or Healthcare experience, who have worked at one of the Top 50 global management consulting firms, but who would now like to have their life back. We have offices, but most of our team works from home most of the time. If you’re brilliant enough, you can work from the back of a surfboard for all we care – as long as you can “wow”. Philosophically we are probably more from the McKinsey school than the BCG, but we’re open to new ideas. All experienced consultants would be expected to be Director Shareholders.
